Mom’s Birthday

I am feeling less stressed out because I’m finishing my assignments. This weekend was very busy. My Sunday was devoted to my mom since it was her birthday. I initially wanted to get her a nice gift that she needs. I thought long and hard of what to get her and I finally decided to buy her a coat. So, I spoke to my brothers about my great idea. My brothers agreed to pitch in for a coat since she had mentioned she was interested in purchasing one. On Sunday, I went shopping with her to the store for a coat. We searched and searched for coats at Burlington Coat Factory and she finally found the right one. I feel very happy that we gave her a gift she will always put to use and also something that she really likes. Although she does not like cold days, she cant wait for the cold weather because she has a new coat hanging in her closet.

End of the Quarter

I cant believe this quarter is coming to an end. This week I was reminded of how much work I need to do before the quarter comes to an end. Yeah, I am very stressed out with the big load of homework that is waiting for me. All I know is that I will enjoy my Thanksgiving by eating a lot. Unfortunately, I found out I will be working the morning of Black Friday, which is the day after Thanksgiving where businesses have sales. Although I will get paid time and a half to work, I don’t think it’s worth it because I will be tired. Customers tend to get crazy because they want everything on sale. I just want to think positive, so all I will think about is Thanksgiving.

Crazy Week

I had a long week although I didn’t have class on Tues. I found out last week that I needed to find a new site where I will do the rest of my observation hours for TED 432. At first, I was doing my observation hours at Pomona Unified but unfortunately they are waiting on some paper work from Cal Poly so we can go in and do our hours. The problem is that Pomona doesn’t want to be liable for Cal Poly students in case of an emergency. I tried calling the person at the new school but unfortunately she was at a meeting. Aside from calling, I emailed her just like we had agreed. Hopefully I can get a hold of her later today. But I’m super excited because on Saturday my sorority from La Verne will be having a big event called “Bowl for Breath.” I just can’t wait to see some of my undergraduate friends and sorority sisters. Also, we will reunite for a cause, to raise money for cystic fibrosis.

Veterans Day

Tomorrow is Veterans day and I am super excited to sleep in. This is the first time in a while when I didn’t need to go to school on Veterans day. The reason being is because I am a transfer student from the University of La Verne. I would dislike my friends and youngest brother when they would sleep in on Veterans and I had to go to class. But now, we attend the same school and I will definitely sleep. Unfortunately the weather is too cold to go to the beach. My friends and I go to the beach very often during the summer but unfortunately this summer everyone was taking summer school. Now I feel like this year lacked a summer.

Halloween Weekend

This weekend was a long weekend. On Friday was Halloween but I didn’t make any plans to go to a party because I went to a couple parties last weekend and on Wenesday. So when Halloween came, I was already tired of going to Halloween parties. My friends were going to a big party that was going to be held in Corona on Saturday November 1. I didn’t want to go because Halloween was on Friday October 31. To make my story short, I ordered a desk for my room and I spent all of Saturday night building the desk. On Sunday I had to rearrange things in my room so I can fit the desk. I was very excited when I picked up the desk at the store on Saturday night but little did I know this was going to be a weekend project. It took a couple of hours to build since it has a hutch. Unfortunately, nobody helped me build it. Now I have boxes of books and papers sitting in my closet that need to be organized or be put away. I need to find time so I can organize the rest of the mess.

So, this is the first post and I don’t know how to write a blog. I am very new to this technology. I hope I’m doing this correctly. In this blog I will write about any random thoughts that come to mind. The only thing that comes to mind right now is Veteran’s day. Yeah, I need a day so I can catch up with my sleep. I am practically counting the days.
